SUMMARY:New members evening & bat walk
DESCRIPTION:For new members\, old members\, potential members\, anyone who wants to find out more about what the group gets up to\, Covid permitting\, and how to get involved. There will also be a short committee meeting immediately beforehand\, starting at 19:00. \nAfter we’ve covered summer projects\, public engagement\, bat care\, NBMP surveys\, training\, etc. we’ll head down to the Whiteknights lake with bat detectors to see what bats we can find – there are usually good views of at least three species\, sometimes more. In the event of poor weather there will be some education bats on show\, if Covid guidelines permit. \nThe meeting room is on the 1st floor of Park House\, building 8 on the Whiteknights campus map https://www.reading.ac.uk/about/visit-us.aspx. Getting to the Whiteknights campus from the town centre by bus is easy and there are no parking restrictions on campus after 5pm\, the closest car park is number 55 on the map.
