SUMMARY:AGM (and discussion of new survey guidelines)
DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to attend the bat group AGM which will be followed by a discussion about the new bat survey guidelines. These are available as a non-printable PDF at https://www.bats.org.uk/bat-surveys-4th-edition (the link to the free version is somewhat hidden in the paragraph starting “BCT has made the full document available to download…”). While these guidelines are principally aimed at professional ecologists we intend to try and make the discussion relevant to volunteer bat work as well as looking at the implications of what’s changed since the previous edition. BCT members can find a useful short summary by Jan Collins in the latest Bat News \nThe agenda has been circulated to members and all committee positions will be up for election or re-election.
